Hey guys! OMG I can't believe it is finally Friday! This week feels like it has dragged on forever!
I sadly have not written much in the last few days, because work has been absolutely hectic. I also have discovered that my beautiful baby - my computer - is dying. She is a 2012 MacBook Pro with only a duel core processor... meaning she absolutely HATES it when I try to run any adobe software on her! And the one that I need to get to replace her cost more than two months rent... yes I have very inexpensive rent and it is also a super expensive computer. So that has been fun.
You guys are not reading this to hear about my life, but my characters so here are some updates/ ideas...
New Short Story?
I had an idea to do a sci-fi short story. I have other short story ideas in the wings as well that I might crank out after Lady Death to fill the lull time between my bigger books.
This one would be about a human for once!! The idea is - and if you copy this I will hunt you down - what if Humans were superior for once in the galaxy?? I am not going to spill it all because I don't want the idea stolen and I may change my mind later. But what if we were the bad ass warrior race in the galaxy? I was watching a sci-fi movie and the humans were kind of seen as worthless. And I thought to myself, well, in pretty much every sci-fi show, humans are the basic people. We create super heroes and fantasy creatures that have the amazing abilities and are just superior to humans in every way. But what if that was not the case. What if we were all on equal footing but the humans were just seen as warriors? I thought that would be a fun idea.
I want to do a hate to love story. The guy will probably be some kind of alien. I have not figured out those details just yet. Also I am thinking cyborgs would be cool to have in the story. Not sure what role they will play but it is a fun idea.
The only issue is, I have no plot ideas as of yet haha.
Lady Death Updates
I am still stuck on the same chapter as I was last time I posted. I have a few sentences now, but I still am in a writing slump. Basically I am a lazy person by nature.
I still have a lot of updates to the characters that need to be done. I still need to go back and change some of the scenes between Kat and Cass to make their mating bond more obvious and less of a last minute idea I had to make Kat more like-able.
Despite my writing slump, I am still ahead of schedule to have the book completed before Christmas. :)
